CA State Teachers Retirement System ProProse and subcontractor ConsumerQuest Research conducted ten telephone surveys among CalSTRS members statewide over a three-year period (2006 to 2008), with additional surveys to be completed in 2009. The purpose was to assess the effectiveness and message delivery of Member Kits, which were designed to improve services for members. ProProse provided marketing consulting services throughout the contract, such a recommending the best wording for questionnaires, and helping to improve the Member Kits as feedback was received from the surveys. ProProse also led CalSTRS’ staff in developing product names, branding and core marketing messages for new services offered to members. Results: All surveys and reports have been delivered on time and on budget. Results from the surveys is enabling CalSTRS to significantly revise their member services materials.
